The reality is that I just can't visualise the mechanism by which the partially blocked breather forces oil into the separator, probably because I no longer have an Electra X in front of me to examine! Anyway, I'm going to pore over the exploded diagrams on this site and see if I can draw myself a diagram of the entire breather system. Thanks again.
