No , spark plugs are classed as consumables!

right , regarding your engine , if you came to sell/trade in the bike , you would loose a lot of value with that bodge!

ask for/demand a new engine or new crankcases (inc labour)

PS was I know you said the bike was new ,,, was it new new or an ex domo model?

if the speedo read zero, are there any marks on the speedo bolts/nuts (replacement speedo), or other signs that might make you feel the bike was used before you?

I wonder if the ECU can be interrogated to find its true useage (by date)

The problem here is that the nearest dealer / service guy is about 102 miles away.

i have never been there and do not know what equipment they might have. My French

is not up to technical stuff for a telephone call to them, and my French friend has no

grasp of anything technical. They still count in multiples of four here, as that is how

many legs a cow has.

I would sacrifice a journey to Tendance Roadster in Paris, as I have been there, It is

275 miles, but they are a great part of the Enfield 'Family' really passionate about the bikes.

There is a great (grass lane?) vid on their site, I hope I ok to post a link here?

and yes, I must have the bodge sorted out, wether new parts or new engine, but I keeping Thunderbolt!

I visited Tendance maybe 18 months ago, just to have a look. Wasn't buying anything or getting repairs.... just in the area. Found them very pleasant and they seemed pretty knowledgeable.
