Dan -

Negative on further Photobucket attempts, I'm afraid.

I'm not sufficiently au fait with that website or indeed this website (where apparently 1 + 1 no longer equals 2),  to have any confidence of success.

However, if it helps I'm quite willing to send you the photo (and any others you may require) as an email attachment - hopefully I can manage that !

John, thanks for the picture, e-mail received.

Chris,I think quite likely a Redditch inner case would fit, but it's £50 to get one and there is no guarantee that a redditch case isn't going to need work doing to make it fit with 2005 Indian crankcases, I can get the welding and hole cut at "mates rates" so I reckon that is the way to go.

I wonder if the chaincase will loose all that oil in double quick time due to any distortion welding may cause? I hand it to you Dan, all this effort to replicate a Redditch feature just to save 5 mins once or twice a year with an oil can and the bike leaning over a bit, so I hesitate to suggest that you grind a filler plug down, araldite it where you want it, then fill from the level plug anyway......

P......... Thanks for pointing out about the possible distortion, it will be checked and I will of course true the face up with plate glass and carborundum if needed. Why do I want to do it this way, well I want to make a proper job of it and make a "fix" rather than a "work-around".

To me a bit of metal Araldited on to give a fictitious appearance of  there being a filling hole is a complete anathama!
