Hi Guys--------- just back from a 3-day railway shopping trip to Staplehurst, Kent and a visit to my Sister's at Reading.............No, as mentioned by others that's not me at Hitchcocks, alas....I'd love to work there BUT}----An 80-mile round commute each day is just a wee bit too far...Re}--- that video...We didn't get to hear/see the other side so not given the full facts and thus hard to say......My first impression was a slapping primary chain maybe??..................HIYA WOOLFIE !!........how's it hanging ??............I can vouch for what he says having seen it and ridden alongside him on club ride-outs, he certainly has a big-un which proudly slaps away all day, as does his bike !!( Blush !! )...LoL !!
The only way to read a plug is after a properly carried-out plug-chop.......Popular scuttlebut says that tappets should be set cold........I disagree..Set them at full running temp to either zero or a few thou clear....After all, that's where the engine will spend the most of it's operating life......and similarly set the ignition at FULL ADVANCE...I've banged-on about this next one before but when supplying cylinder bore and piston diameter sizes you really should give 6 for each item..............At the Top--Center---Bottom and then the same again but at 90 degrees to the first readings...This might be a tad awkward on a piston due to the gudgeon / wrist pin hole but you get the idea ????.......From this approach you will "see" the overall picture of both items AND the fit between them....
