You are not to blame if some people are out of touch?, Check where you have been and look for anything you may have disturbed.no one on here can guess what you did but you can back track and find it. Good luck.

Reds, Are you getting a spark? This will narrow it down a bit. ie have you messed up the carb or the electrics.

Paulk, I agree with your comment. I would also comment it is VERY easy to mess the wiring up when putting the petrol tank back on.

Hi guys------my it's getting crowded in here tonight-------PAPPASMURF your photo shows a CV type of carb ( Constant Velocity or Constant Vacuum ) which utilises a diaphragm attached to the top of the slide and as its' name suggests a vacuumm applied above that diaphragm will cause the slide to lift IN PROPORTION to the amount applied..........In front of the slide is a circular flap valve which is actuated by your throttle cable and your dainty twisty-wristy !!....That's why your cable is off-set from the centre-line and attached to a form of bell crank..........An added bonus is that as a rider you are only ever pulling against the return spring and not the combined effect of spring AND slide as in the earlier non-CV types... AMALs are NON-CV.....SU are CV.........and the cables are a 5 min job to change as well !!
