Not much of that bike is from 65, although it does have the half width front hub.


End of the day, the frame is the vehicles identity and if it is original and untampered with then the vehicle is legal.

heres my ten penorth for what its worth (which isn,t a lot )if the bike is a bitsa pay bitsa money if its c reg 1965 but re reg,d in 2006 maybe someone sold the valuable plate i,ve seen this many times on log books i know of a certain wd/co made in 1943 reg,d in 1992 nothing fishy just an number plate sale anyway there you go without seeing the bike i would say if its t&t,d its worth about £500 and if anybody has a 500 bitsa for sale reg,d in a pre tax cost year i,ll take a punt and chance being robbed put a diesel engine in and save £55 on road tax ,always looking to make my biking more affordable!!p.s £500 is the bid or just a frame log book & swinging arm must be a v5c no fish!!

That looks totally bogus to me. The only 1965 thing about that is the number plate.

Hi MIDGE---- yes, that's the one I was trying to show yesterday----but, as GRUNDA & CHRIS TINDAL say}--- if the log book & frame are correct and legit. then it's a "1965" machine. Having said that, how many of to-day's restored bikes are made up from a large % of replica parts ?? Just a thought from this but if your bike is stolen----then later the police recover a bare frame that has your genuine Nos. on it---does that constitute a recovered bike ?? I think at the heart of this issue is ----"intent to deceive"--------and of course "BUYER BEWARE !!"
