Oudaios my 99 500 casing doesnt have the sideways oil tank plug and I think it was dropped on later Indian engines. I drain the oil by just undoing the remaining two plugs with the strainers attached. My old Redditch casing has the side plug direct into the oiltank but I assume the Idians thought it unnecessary.
