I think it needs to be removed on all iron barreled bullets, Redditch or Indian.

Chris you can see in your pic that the primary chain is sitting towards the back of the slipper pad, I thought it would run in centre, what you think.

The one in the photo isn't actually my bike... it's just one I got off the internet because I thought it would be easier for people to discuss a picture rather than trying to describe it.

But it's certainly got me interested and I'll have a look next time I change my oil.
I wonder if it sits on a different part of the pad when the bike's running, rather than stationary?
