To answer both Dev and Ric: The Hitchcock carb conversion contains everything needed. The earlier version, much more expensive, included a replacement generator and was therefore a much bigger job. Hitchcock's found that it worked just as well on the standard generator, effectively on the base ignition map. The injector circuit remains intact and the injector "fires" but is not connected. The job is simple if you follow the supplied instructions and are reasonably competent and have decent tools- no special ones needed. The fuel pump and its mounting plate are replaced by an aluminium plate that is tapped and threaded to take the supplied fuel tap. The fuel level gauge remains unaffected. You can either leave the MIL connected, in which case it will stay lit all the time the ignition is on, or disconnect one of the connectors, in which case it won't light at all. I chose the recommended former as it shows the ignition is on. One day I'll remove the MIL gauge and replace it with an ammeter. You get a proper choke lever, though this is largely redundant as on most Brit bikes - the tickler suffices. Once fitted it's just a case of starting the engine and adjusting the tickover and throttle stop. The supplied jetting, throttle slide etc work fine as long as you tell H what exhaust you have - an air filter is supplied, the troublesome original is remov d and you get extra storage space. Delighted with mine.
