No problem. The "kill switch" on the left bar should actually be the horn button and dip switch Lucas type LU/31563D. You can see it in the illustration in the Parts Book on this site. The original carb would be a Monobloc, also available from our Hosts. I've had 2 GTs with both types of carb and I think it runs better on a Monobloc. It certainly looks better in my opinion. Are the alloy rims Dunlop? There seem to have been a few fitted with these but it's not clear if it was done by the Factory or a Dealer. If you email your engine and frame numbers to Graham Scarth at the REOC he will confirm date and some basic details about the bike. He will be able to tell you if your bike is an original pairing of engine and frame. [email protected]

No kill switch, bikes of this era did not have them, you just turn off the ignition!

Yep, certain on the kill switch. That button is actually a Lucas horn button that was used on some Triumphs and Nortons I think. Looking at the pic of the bike (I couldn't open the last link,) I can see that it has a non-standard front mudguard and stays, the battery cover doesn't look quite right either. The handlebar lever on the left is something modern as well. Where are you? If local I could have a look for you.

I have also noticed quite a few none standard parts but as I intend to use it myself they can stay for now , if I like the bike I may change at a latter date , I was pleased to find its all 12volt so maybe the lights will be ok
