On the cars I've had Pirellis try to kill be on three occasions, on each time with tyre faults, broken belts or tread coming away from the carcass. Maybe I've been unlucky but one tyre bay said they see a lot of them doing that. I can no longer trust them at al. On a bike the incidents would have been a big off, something that made me very leery of the CGT I test rode. Mich or Conti on the cars, Avon or Dunlop for bikes. YMMV :)
