I just fitted the silencer 91080 today to my 2014 Classic C5 Efi. The silencer is a lot lighter with a better finish than the original and works with the stock exhaust, air box and filter. It has a great sound without being obnoxious, the bike seems to pull better and run a little smoother. Our host told me to run it with the baffle in, and not to upgrade the air filter or the ECU will not cope with the changes. Since the stock exhaust has a tab on it to fit the stock silencer, I also fitted the heat shield, 91043 to cover the tab and new clip, 12882 and make it pretty!. I'm very happy with the result. Next change will be to fit a 19 tooth front sprocket to enable the bike to run smoother at a higher mph. My bike is smooth up to 50-55mph, but would like another 10mph.

Mine has now lost a bit of top speed with this silencer, but has noticeably gained in the midrange where the bike spends nearly al of its time when on the move, so for me that's a big win.

Presto, I typically cruise the C5 sitting upright at 70mph on a dual carriageway. Ok so it won't go much beyond 80mph but it is not flat out, and it is pretty comfortable and stable, certainly not ouch. I may have a few more ponies from the mods but that will only improve speed not handling and vibration. Wind buffeting is not pleasant but if you are having handling/comfort issues above 60mph then check alignment etc.

A thought, don't assume putting the snail cams on the same notch will align the back wheel. Use a straight edge, string, whatever to align it. My cams are one notch apart to get alignment. Besides the obvious horizontal (chain tensioner) alignment there is a little vertical adjustment possible doing up the brake plate and rear spindle. Plus if the chain isn't running square, it will vibrate, a lot.

Hmmm.. all this concern over "an extra 5 mph" or "would like another 10mph." and how to (maybe) get it..

Tell me, why didn't you buy the Yamazuki or whatever they are called..? You have a Royal Enfield. Not exactly known for world speed records.

Just my '2 cents'.
