Hello Rick,
Why not fitting the original side stand that is avaliable from our host ? It is much stronger and a little cheaper than the (very interesting) Vintele stand, and at least looks the part on the J2. I have one on my CO for decennies, and can tell you it is very good, assuming you park your bike the front head uphill.

I forgot to mention that you could have troubles to fit the Vintele stand, as there is the side box in the place it should be located.. So go simple and effective.. What is good for a DR should be too for you.
