My 2000 Classic seems to be a complete mash up of sizes and standards. I've come across Whitworth, AF, British Cycle, Metric, and some that I've yet to identify. One of the nuts holding the fork end caps is a different size to the other three. I think standards in the (older) Indian factory were so poor that anything was allowed to pass through.
