Hey, you already visited and replied to that post Thack??!??

Be careful fitting a blue LED in the speedo tell tale. At night, if you get a little condensation on your visor while breathing out, all you can see is blue! Had to take mine out of my woodsman, but have the strange casquette tell tales on Tornado my iron bullet, so that works ok!

I've owned a couple of late 70's Yams fitted with self cancelling indicators and very useful they are too. I currently have an LC250 but the self cancelling device doesn't work.Must look into getting it fixed if i can.I had heard but don't know whether it's true that manufacturers had stopped fitting them in case of the threat of litigation - probably in the US?

Scaly: yes, I've seen that message of yours. However, my bulbs are shown. The bulbs in the speedo on my bike are those push-in ones with a kind of glass blade at the bottom and a wire terminal on each side.

I often find myself using the ammeter as a reminder. If it's oscillating, it's a fair bet you've left your indicators on.

Why are your bulbs not shown?

Can you get a picture of them?

is it a standard type Enfield speedo?

I mean really,,,, I run around doing these guides and then people go finding different bulbs! (moan, complain) and then they ask for help when they don't work (mumble, moan) then you find they took any old bulbs (complain, wail, moan) And pushed them into any old holes (Rant, moan) until it all went bang! (moan, wail, scream!).

Maybe it's one of the new speedo's like on the continental GT?

Scaly not sure when they swapped them but the bulbs in the later UCE's speedos are wedge type from memory T10's I think, it is called "planned obsolescence"

Scaly, I've looked at pictures of bulbs on 'tinternet and Norm's right - the ones in mine are the T10, which have like a glass blade and are simply push-in. These are used in all three warning lights plus the speedo backlight.

My spedo has the push in bulbs which are very difficult to see on a bright day I have had a look at the bulbs and they seem to be rated at 1.7 watt, so I have replaced them with 3watt bulbs, I am hoping this will improve things on a sunny day without making things to hot, if the sun comes out this weekend I will give it a try, you can get push in LEDs but the base fitting looks to wide to fit a spedo tell tale

Oh those nasty little things with the bits of wire sticking out! My 2010 woodsman has the usual BA9s lamps

Take a look at the following link, they may be small enough.

Some company what flogs bulbs
