I know what you mean, try adjusting a Monoblock on a Meteor with the distributor in the way of everything

Paul, the same viton tipped float needle is now listed by Amal for both Monoblocs and Concentrics. Our hosts supply a kit of float level washers/shims for Monoblocs - worth asking them for that maybe (not listed in their catalogue).

AMENDMENT!!---------I wish we had an Edit facility....Re-reading my last bit of dipstick-drivel what I meant was}---If the needle seat DOESN'T go down far enough the level will be too HIGH and it will flood....Thanks PETE F, I've printed that and it now hangs IN FRONT OF ME at the workbench !!

Sorted! The fibre washer was the problem as suspected. Removed it and the fuel leak went as well, so it isn't necessary! Also, MY BIKE RUNS!! I had a drink to celebrate...
