Hi AlanR. It should not matter if it was grade one or two it still must be it for purpose. I am sure Hitchcocks don't inspect every other part they send out and they would still correct any problem found. Even if it was a grade two barrel I am sure Hitchcocks would put things right as if it was grade one. Edward

Hi EDWARD---------- yes, I totally agree with you...Both grades, as advertised, must be fit for purpose..However, my advice to DEAN was based on the fact that Hitchcocks actually ADVERTISE this 10-point check done by their good selves on each grade 1 barrel.. Therefore somebody missed seeing that machining error..As you rightly say, they can't be expected to check ALL the products passing through their stores, and the grade 2 barrel falls within this category.. In any event a sub-standard item should always be reported.. The "guys" at Chadwick are Human, just like us.. Bless-'em !! ( Do I get my discount now, Mr H ??)

hi alan ,i,m quite good getting some well earned riding in stafford at the weekend and the big knock mad mikes doo all in same weekend i hope you are well although i,d visit the drs if i were you those 350 bullet rear mudguards are horrible and not as well made as the other sort although if you want one you must get one i sold 1 on ebay 2 year ago for 99p atb paul oh and the buyer messed me around paying!!!
