Right done some more research and I think I have found the thread where Les H responded to Norms query about 4 wire stators.

My reading of this is that as long as the power box cvan handle the power (sorry, no pun intended) then I can parallel the coils and feed them to the input (yellow wires) of the power box.

Just for my sanity (and to prevent me burning the bike down!) can anyone confirm this?

 Hi Zitman,

I overlooked the fact that you might have an A/C headlight setup, and now I know why a search didn't bring up my thread  never thought to try 4 wire stator. I haven't looked up the wiring diagram for the A/C setup but it would only mean taking the wires from the A/C regulator to the battery I think. I will look it up and confirm it if you need. As long as you have a fuse from the battery on either side, you won't burn the bike

Hi zitman. you're just a little vague as to your intended modification.
Do you A just want to fit a powerbox to replace your reg/rectifier
setup? or B fit powerbox and convert your lighting to 12vDC and run
headlight from battery. If A then simply connect the two violet wires
from the alternator to the two yellows on p/box. The new red connects to
the old yellow/red feed to the ampmeter and the black joins the black
which is your earth. Provided your system is still wired negative
earth??

If you wish to feed headlight with dc current then conversion will consist of joining all alternator feeds BUT important to get phasing right as there are six coils. Extending of wiring and a whole new thread is inevitable. So in short, what ya trying to do? regards gwilly.

Gwilly,  The idea is B,

I want to convert the headlight to run on 12V.

I am fine with doing the actual wiring but I would like any information you can provide on how to wire it.  Especially sorting out the phasing.
