thanks norm ,when i get the crank back i can get on with building the motor another question do you suffer the mayo problem down under ,this motor had been doing short runs to work in lancashire uk and the motor had mayo in the rockertops oiltank and oil filter ,i know what causes the mayo i just wonder if the improved brething situation has any effect of ridding the ststem of mayo ,i,ve also drilled and tapped the breather to the timing chest to plug it up ,when you fitted the dizzy how did you run it ? did you fit a gear train as classic iron barrelled bullet?did you obviously removed the primary electronic pick up and what was the benefits of this modification? ,just interested thanks paul.

Hi Paul, I put a 612 together recently and it is being used for short runs to work daily and no mayo but take it for a good run on a hot day and mayo appears from the breather at the number plate, obviously getting the motor hot boils out the moisture collected on the short trips. Because out temps are higher we don't suffer anywhere near what you do with mayo problems. As for the dizzy just for kicks and giggles, nothing inside it. Too much trouble trying to machine the cases to fit the idler gears, but at least it got rid of the big blank wall where the dizzy used to be

thanks norm i like your dizzy idea as you say it looks half baked with no dizzy althougha little extreme anyway as they say on neighbours good on yer !!although i,m not sure if the saying is commonly used in oz ,atb paul.
