Seeing the breather pipe so oily and now you say your oil tank emptied over a 3 week period makes me wonder if you have a wet sump problem, something that is discussed occasionally here.

Hi Ralph---- can you help me out here with some of your terminology which---being an old "Fart" I don't recognise/understand ie }--- "bay of the bike"------"Spraydown" -----and "I sprayed it up". Please don't take offence, it's just me still getting over the loss of Empire etc. Thanks.(Big smiley face !!)

Hi Alan, it's not so much you not knowing terminology as me not knowing how to describe properly! --- When I refer to spraying, I simply mean that due to the amount of oil over the lower half of the bike I had it jet washed, as to see if I could ascertain where the oil was coming from. --- In regards to the "bay", I really had no idea how to refer to this, but the pool of oil you see in the picture that sits in a dip behind the engine, that! Sorry about that...

Cheers matey !!----------Ah, all is crystal clear now ( which for a myopic, squint-eyed git like me, and wearing pebble-lens glasses, is quite a revelation, I can tell you !!!). If you have lost almost the entire oil contents whilst the bike was stationary for 3 weeks----and presumably not started in that time ----- then that does sound like severe wet-sumping BUT, where did it all go to ?? ---- it doesn't just "Disappear". Have you removed the drain plugs under the engine to see if anything came out at all ?? I tend to agree with the view that says the breathing is not right. I, and quite a few others, have our hosts dipstick breather mod. fitted which to my mind is worth the spend....can you fit a clear pipe in place of the existing crankcase breather and run the engine again just to actually see what's going on in there ???

I might suggest removing the crankcase drain plug and leaving it to drain for half a day & see what comes out............quite a lot I would surmise..........replace drain plug, top up oil to half way on dipstick..........Go for a ride & let us know what is the result.
