OK--------- I think I see where you're going with that one, Norm. (Doh ???). Unfortunately that sudden, aromatic "rush" as 4 gallons of EXTRA-Ethanol petrol arrives unnanounced in my lap, is an experience I'm going to have by-pass right now. However-----how about a fuel injector that needs no electronics or fuel pump for it to work ??  Any ideas ??? It does exist ( Well, did as of quite a  few years ago ) and was marketed for motorbikes, scooters---sorry about the foul language----- and the like.  Names anyone ???  Prizes awarded for the lucky ones !!!!!   LoL   :)--->

Alan - You are thinking of the Wal Phillips fuel injector, which was popular for a while back in the 60's. They were swines to tune, but if you managed this successfully (unlikely!) they were quite effective. I had one on a BSA A7ss - ok until you forgot to turn the fuel off, as, with no float bowl, petrol would continue to happily flow into the engine. Probably some still about, but probably fetching silly prices as 'collectors' items'.

Hello Winkie (Have I spelt that right??)------  well done !!! Congratulations, you are this weeks lucky 1st prize winner ie a night out with 'er idoors, 2nd prize ?? I think you know the answer to this one--- 2 nights out with 'er indoors.  Have a look at this on E-bay------------------  150769885652  -------------- back in the day, young Alan hadn't yet seen the light and was wearing a Parka jacket and riding a Lambretta Li 150 series 3. He bought and fitted a wal Phillips fuel injector and, as you quite rightly say----- it was a b *+*+^^%%$+r to set up BUT---once done it really improved performance and put an extra 10 mph on top speed alone plus smoothing -out the overall running. And yes, I forgot on more than one occasion to turn the fuel off first.  Nice, clean shoes though !!
