Thanks Mart, that bike has a certain something. Road legal? Methinks I can just see a painted-on number plate on the back mudguard.

OK, slack wire advance with that mag too, same as the unrestored roadster, but you seem to have both ignition and choke levers on the left hand side, which is the ignition?

thanks Adrian, the bike hasnt been delivered yet so I cant say. I'll let you know next week. Its road regd but no lights or dynamo as it was built as a green laner. I might rig up some dummy lights and a working brake light direct to a battery just to make it appear legal. not keen on the Harley handlebars though.

See what you mean about the bars. As for lights, just fit a decent size battery and all LED lights, which will drain it a lot less quickly.

Like that a lot

I can see a cracking little bar hopper there

Think I would try a set of Vincent flats or a pair of trials type bars on it which ever is more comfortable for you

Looks like a 16" rim on the back

Nice Dai

Dummy lights might prove to be illegal if they fitted they got to work as has been said small battery and LED bulbs would do

As that bike is WELL over 40 years old it ought to be registered as an historic vehicle and therefore be tax and MoT exempt. However there is a bell jangling at the back of my mind (haven't clicked on papsmurf's link yet) that all motorcycles used on the road since 1936 are supposed to have a brake light.

Hi Adrian- to answer your question the top lever is A/R and the lever hanging below the bars is the valve lifter, cheers.
ps- those Harley bars are very comfortable!
