I've since found a set of Electra (*not Electra X) forks for sale online.
They have the required threaded top on the stanchions to fit the headlight casquette, the upper lugs for the short mudguard fixing screws and the lower lugs for the disc caliper bracket on the sliders. I'd also need to buy a new "QD/pinch bolt" wheel spindle assembly, as Adrian noted.
* The Electra X ones I've seen advertised have the non screw fitting, with machined flats, for the separate top yoke.
Then I'd need to buy Mr. H's disc brake conversion. An relatively expensive modification, all told; a total cost over £600.
A useful exercise and interesting to know, but I think I might just get the existing TLS drum brake shoes fitted with upgraded linings when the time comes, for a fraction of the above cost.
