I have recently imported a North American (California emission) spec C5 EFI. I've been having trouble with it running and maintaining power since I brought it over. I originally had a free flow pipe on it and lost the stock North American pipe so I installed a new European pipe. I also have a K&N filter installed.

My question is, can I get the bike remapped with the European specs or will a PowerCommander resolve any performance issues? I have considered a 535 upgrade in the past, so the PowerCommamder would be the first step, but ideally I'd just like it to run at the minute.
Thoughts or suggestions?

The RE FI system is 'Dumb' and is not able to be remapped. There is enough variation in resistance in the the sundry engine sensors that connect to the ECU to mean that some bikes run betters than other, other not so...

Power Commander is one solution, but chose which option carefully...

Otherwise, fitting a carb provides one with a simple readily tune-able alternative.
