Stinkwheel - 2-cycle motorcycle?  hadn't heard of such a beast, but it doesn't surprise me that they existed.

Dean - dammit!  how did you get that switch to fit your casquette???  i've asked this in a different post, but since you posted the picture, i'm asking again here.  that is exactly how I want mine to fit, but the switch didn't come with a gasket of any kind.  I've found a brass threaded adapter that would need to be ground out on the inside and would/should fit in the hole, but that's another $20 and a total guess on whether i'd actually get it to work.  I wish i had some machining equipment to create a bushing for it.
Also, when you moved the ignition switch, did you shape the hole for the flat part of the ignition cylinder, did you just make it a round hole and tighten it down so it wouldn't spin, or did you drill out a large enough hole to hold the fitting that the ignition switch attached to that was in the casquette?
Thanks!!!

There's a rubber sleeve that fits over the switch, as Mark M posted in your Ideas Factory thread:

"The rubber ring for the switch (also fits ammeter) is available from our Hosts part number 140248."

You might be able to use a section of bicycle inner tube.
