Alan r I am intrigued with mixing ep90 and wd40 to cure a compression problem.Could you please enlighten.

Hi Jamesy----------I didn't have any of the usual 20-50 engine oil to hand at the time so "rough-guessed" that some EP90 that was nearby and some thin WD40 would have the desired effect---it did !!...........The EP90 was originally destined for the Bullet '65's gearbox but I came across a plain 90 supply so I used that instead-----The EP90 now lubricates the valve gear and motion on my 5" gauge live steam locomotives as it tends to be "clingy" if you know what I mean..( NB--but NOT for the piston / cylinders as they have a separate specialist steam oi supply )...
