OK - The new Classic has had its service done and so to the C4 write-off which has the rebuilt wheel fitted. Now I fell in love with the "beat" of the Bullit in Goa and have been dissapointed by the Euro4 "play with" I mean, are we going to save the planet for a few DBs?? So, question, How can I get my "beat sound" back from a new gun? straight through exhaust? I asked our host but it got lost in the post so, any ideas? OK - I'm not sure about the mumbo-jumbo about re-maping the electronic computer bit but surely this is the easy bit? Of course, a bit more of the Bop Bop Bop would be nice, and it does get the four wheel fraternity to move over to see what's coming - great for well being! what?

If you want a louder bike, just remap the EFI for a new muffler.
If you do it on a carbed bike you need to rejet.
Not hard to do, or have a shop do it.

I replaced my bazooka with our host's British chrome one with a removable baffle (which I've kept in), coupled with their down pipe. It's a fairly common mod and they reckon you don't need to do anything to the mapping. (I fitted a carb to mine anyway). I really don't know about the Euro IV one. Anyway, it now sounds much better and goes better too.
