I have aquire a thunderbird with a 5 speed gearbox. Please can someone tell me where the filler and level plugs are and what type of oil and the approx amount required. Thanks

I also have a RE Thunderbird with a 5 speed gearbox

The level of gearbox oil is checked by using an allen key below the 5 speed badge.

To top up the oil, you need to undo the nut just below the 5 speed badge.

The correct amount of oil is when oil starts to trickle out of the level hole.

The owner's handbook recommends EP 90 oil.

While checking fluids, do not forget engine oil, clutch oil and brake fluid as well.
