Ok, it's a bit heavy going I know but the section on Electronic systems, CDI etc is relevant for the UCE EFi engine I believe...??

Hi Alan,



the only Royal Enfields with CDI ignition were the home market 350 Machismo and Thunderbird models (pre-electric start) and the original version of the 350 Electra.



Starting with the export Electra-X (as well as later versions of the above 350s) the factory began fitting TCI igntion, and this has continued with the EFI/UCE models. I think the last bikes built with points ignition were the final batch of home market classic 350 Bullets around 2010.
