has anyone had problems finding gears
an the finder jumping all over the place when changing gear

Not sure what you mean but the NF lever does go a fair way up when in top gear.

Hi, check that the gear selector assembly, the internal spring may be broken, or the springs in the gear change mechanism. The box is not staying in the selected gear. Vince
