It totally looks like a female to female blanking plug and a papasmurf that is the tap I have and want on there...
I got the tank off eBay and it is a RE tank .. there is no hex inside it either :-/
So should I vice grip it and hope for the best if I do this I will prolly destroy the threads ,,,,

Are you sure an Allen key won't fit, because when I magnify the picture it look like a hexagon that needs the paint cleaning out.

You bought it off ebay, why not ask the vendor, he/she/it should know what he/she/it did whereas all us chickens here are guessing

Don't try to remove it Izzy. Think its quite common on Bullet tanks. I've certainly seen a few. Just fit a female tap like Karkoma 141209 (you may need adaptor - see accessory shop) I was about to do same as you when I first saw one. Glad I didn't! Mick

The most common fitting on non-EFI Indian Bullet petrol tanks is 1/4" BSP female as used on many British bike petrol tanks. This applies to aftermarket tanks as well as factory-supplied items. There is a wide range of 1/4" BSP petrol taps available.
