Hi Folks, I have just replaced the exhaust valve guide: does anyone know what size reamer I need to use to allow the valve to fit? And were can I get one from? Thanks.

Not need to be reaming? Danrn spool checker. Reamed, also the required clearance will vary depending on whether bronze or cast.

Try Tracytools.com for a reamer but I don't know what size you'd need. If you know the stem size I'd guess about 3 thou more? Maybe more for an exhaust valve? Anyone? Guides are usually sized so that when shrunk in they are correct though...

Air cooled engine inlet 2thou, exhaust 3thou, with pb guides, if they are cast guides you need an exhaust valve with a plated stem as they are now made of stainless and will pick up and jam open in cast iron. Also allow another 1/2 thou.
