All my Enfields live out side under canvas/nylon type:cover, they are down the side of my house and you can see the covers always flapping in the wind..this and a wipe down with 3 in 1 or WD40 has kept them all workable with little rusting for over 1 years ..I think though they get wet the free flow of air is a major factor in rust free condition..and no i do not polish and wash..just the odd hose down and plenty of oil...IMHO ;0)

I don't clean my trials Bullet anything a frequently as I should, but every time I put it away I give all the chrome, wheels, forks and shocks a good spray with WD40. This works for me.

My bike is used on and off all year round, but , like others, is covered in WD40 during winter. It really does prevent corrosion but if you use your bike it soon gets covered in grime. Haven't tried ACF50 yet but apparently that's even better.

Thanks for all the useful tips folks. Looks like wd40 will be on my Christmas list this year.
