Hi again, the side stand is fitted as you said off the footrest bar and rear bolt 145885 which passes through the rear of the lower engine plate. This can be moved over as you require. The centre stand is pivoted on a bar which passes through the engine plate in front of 145885. Vince

Vince it may show that on the drawings but on my Electra X it is the centre stand pivot. (I have checked several times today.) I suspect I don't have an Enfield centre stand, it is built like a brick outhouse.

Hi papasmurf, now you have me intrigued, has a previous owner just fitted the original stand in the wrong place? Anyway the bolt will move over as previous stated, in fact the one off a late Redditch model maybe slightly longer as this was also used to mount exhaust pipe brackets on interceptors. I use the rear type sidestand on the team flat trackers and they will take a lot of weight ideal for what you want. The bracket is malleable and will bend the other way requiring only the spring pin to be moved. This was done to remove all protrusions on the left side. Vince

Vince I am going to have to make a bracket because the material on the side stand I bought is rubbish. Also to clear the rear brake pedal the side stand will have to be moved backwards 5".
