Just thought i'd stick my oar in..

Edward is right with regard to cable sizing for something like the Nautilus, which is now used on lots of bikes as an upgrade..

Pete has hit the nail with regard to switching which is vital.

Just had a quick read and the nautilus draws 18amps, yes count em..

The normal OE switch contacts will burn out or even weld themselves together like a welders arc.. ok may be a slight exaggeration but when that horn refuses to shut up your going to wish you fitted the proper 30amp switching relay built for the job..

Even these fail after years of use but nothing lasts for ever..

Amazing to think some joggers with ear phones can't hear an enfield coming so an air horn may just save your life and theirs...

I have bookmarked that. Thanks. (The current horn on my Enfield is like a bee in a bucket.)

Fit the loud horn you want, relay also, dead easy, and they do make a differance

As an empiricist in this debate I can report that fitting a lo-tone, lo-cost horn in parallel to the OE horn works. I get loud noise (had to use it yesterday as an Rsole in an Evoque tried to push out in front of me from a farm entrance) but nothing deleterious happens to the switch, wiring, battery or anything else.
