Subject: Crusader Sports
Head steady bolt: Any one know where I be able to get hold of a head steady bolt in S/S which would fit my 1965 Crusader Sport.

HM don't have em only the basic steel type unfortunatly, the crusader fastener bolt hole center measurements is 5 1/2 inch (hole - hole) I have put it against my 65 Bullet head steady for assessment, and the crusader one is a lot longer,

I did think that one from another bike might fit, any suggestions

There are Stainless head steady bolts in H's catalogue, page 240. Failing that, ring H's and ask.

Those that HM sell, not for the crusader, have checked that out before i posted the request, thats what they told anyway.

Is that an eye bolt?
Perhaps you could make something up with a SS rose joint and a suitable bolt?

Guru, the female part is the same as for the Bullet if that helps. The "bolt" section is longer on the Crusader which is why the whole assembly won't interchange. Maybe our Hosts have one spare if you're lucky? That just leaves the other bit to find or make, half an answer, sorry!
