A good alternative to welding tip cleaners are guitar strings; available in many, many diameters. Do we know the correct diameter (in inch or mm) of the pilot hole?

Why faff about when a set of carburettor cleaning wires is less than £10.

Well took pilot jet back out and soaked carb again in ultrasonic cleaner no different. So started looking elsewhere and cleaned all of the connections from battery / starter solenoid and ignition etc now running perfectly. Found some really corroded terminals now cleaned and protected by acf. Happy days 😁 and thanks to everyone for advice at least I know I have the cleanest carb in the UK!

Just that discarded guitar strings, and the bits that always get cut off the end, cost nothing at all.
