If you look at the front mount on a RE it allows for a great range of adjustment. When my old Bantam managed to vibrate and fatigue sheer through the frame tube above the front engine mount it became as smooth as silk. It did this twice, first time was new frame, second was braze it up. That front mount on the bullets is where most of the vibration will emanate from. The silly thing is there is enough room to get rubber mounts in there which raises the question, why not?
