Guys, thanks for all you previous help with MY new bike thread.

I was wandering what year indicators were put on royal Enfield bullets ?

I believe the MOT regs. say not required on bikes first used before 1st August 1986 if that helps.

I remember when Enfields were first imported unto the UK during the 70's. They were this pastel green colour. All of them were 350's. They had single leading shoe front brakes. All of them had copies of the Lucas type indicators. For some strange reason. The front indicators were mounted on the headlamp casquette.

The bikes imported by Slaters from 1977 onwards had Lucas indicators fitted after they arrived in the Uk (Along with better brake linings, as none of the first consignment passed their MOT due to crap brakes)


The Factory did not fit any indicators until 1985: they were a rectangular shaped, brittle black plastic affair attached to the casquette.
