My (new looking) Mikcarb VM24SH on a 350 is prone to leaking fuel.
I have stripped it down, and its not contamination, the float height is about right, but the valve spring only has a travel of less than 1mm, and seems 'stiff' to operate.

Has anyone had this problem? I guess the answer is to fit a replacement, but I wondered if there could be a fix for it.

Before doing too much t the carburettor, I would check that the leak wasn`t coming from the tube which feeds petrol from the tank. It only takes a pinhole to make it appear to be the carburettor which is leaking when in fact it is leaking down the tube.
