Hi all. Does or has anyone on here use or has used a mitas h02 tyre on the rear of their Enfield? If so what is or was it like.
Cheers Davie

Hi, I've used 2 or 3, both front and rear. They are a budget tyre. They last on mine about 15K miles IIRC. They look right on a Bullet and the block tread is useful on the poor lanes where I live. There are better tyres if you want to scrape footpegs, but for most classic riding they are fine. The carcase of the tyre is not as strong as some of the premium brands, you get what you pay for!

cheers

Hi, I use these on a bullet for regular commuting in all weathers including heavy snow without any problems, also the Thunderdog racing team use these on their vintage Flattrackers so I thing that is a good endorsement!

Hi guys, was wondering what width tyre you are using on the rear?
Thanks in advance

I have used 3.50 and 4.00 sizes, the only problem with the latter was that it if chain is adjusted to its limit the tyre touched the bottom of the mudguard. ( early valanced type) and it affects overall gearing.

Used one front and two back tires (H02). Fell twice on wet road. Otherwise usable. Will not fit again, use nowadays Heidenau k34.

I found these tyres look very small, like bicycle tyres, when fitted. Also the rear tyre produced a strange "rolling" feeling in use, as though it wasn't sitting on the rim correctly and proved immposible to balance. I binned the Mitas tyres within very few miles and put it down to the fact that they are very much a budget tyre. I'm now on K82's and can't praise them high enough, superb tyres, at least for lower power machines.

With 19" rims I went with Road Riders front and rear - reassuring enough to scrape the brake pedal in right handers :)
