Something is definitely clattering at engine speed or thereabouts. I'd pull off the primary cover to check it isn't primary chain clatter ( as previously suggested). The slipper tensioner can knock against the case and you will see that if it happens with the cover off. Id be surprised,if it was baffles in the muffler as they tend to provide a constant jingle. Maybe a failing or loose alternator rotor? I agree with the concept of a screwdriver stethoscope as it will give you an idea of the area that it's coming from. The fact that it only happens on the overrun says primary chain to me though.
