Just to make sure I get it right, does the cage for the crankshaft roller bearing have it's closed side facing the timing cover and the open side towards the flywheel? Don't want to put it all back together the wrong way round!

Dave, I assume you are talking about the 2 part timing side bearing? With the cage filled with loose rollers? If so, it doesn't really matter which way but I put the closed part of the cage next to the flywheel.
