Dear all. A question about rims on my 2000 iron barrel bullet if you please. I wish to replace the rims with stainless as the chrome has become pitted. Would any 40 spoke 19 inch wm2 1.85 rim work or do the spoke holes need to be particular for no offset? Cheers, Andy.

Yes the holes in the rim need to be drilled to suit the hubs. Clearly if there are forty holes in the hub then you want forty holes rims. 19" yes and WM2 yes. Just check that the drilling is right for your hub size and design full or half width. If you are planning to reuse the same spokes the offset will most likely look after itself. However the profile of the new rim will obviously need to be the same as the old one.

Thanks Simon. I've no experience of wheelbuilding so want to ensure that anything I purchase is correct as it will be an expensive mistake otherwise! Does anyone know of a decent wheel builder in Norfolk? Cheers, Andy.
