I just want to confirm that the early British Enfield swing arm nuts are 1/2" 26TPI. Does anybody know if they continued this on with the Indian Enfields and just to add another curve ball, does anybody know if the UCE swing arm nuts are the same. I have changed a few of the plastic bushes on the UCE swing arm but never taken any notice of the nuts

It is still 26tpi on my early 90's one but presumably when they metricated they probably went 12x1.25 or some such.
