The main problem with the 3 phase Powerbox is it's large size made even bigger by the huge heatsink on the top. I doubt it will fit under the seat and it may have to be located in the toolbox, back to square one. It is rated at 20A and so runs fairly cool so you might be able to take the heatsink off which may give more location options but then I guess the warranty will be invalidated.

It's ok, the powerbox is for my iron bullet, a single phase type. I will fit it where the air flows!

I run my bike, batteryless, using the Boyer unit and - as advised by Boyer - is pretty conservatively rated and just needs to be in free air.



Mine sits in this little box along with the brake light switch and ignition barrel:

I looked closely and the lump is a "Regu-rectifier" or all in one unit.



The boyer powerbox came today, it went under the seat (where my air flows !!?!!) and having put the 35w halogen in again, we went for a ride! Charging is working correctly! YAY!
