Colleagues,

Those rubber dampers all over the outside of the barrel and head of my new Bullet keep coming out. I quite like the idea of using them, because the engine is too noisy and every little helps.

Is there some secret to stopping them sliding out and falling off?

Hi Thack: Dow Corning 736 heat resistant sealant. Or any Silastic bathroom type sealant will do. It has been used to seal around the exhaust pipe -head opening, so it will do the job on the fins.

Not sure how well silicon would hold in that situation, my thoughts would be Sikaflex but it is expensive and usually the tube goes off before you get to use it again
