As some of you may know I have been rebuilding the engine on my Electra X. today I was fitting the oil pipe at the crank case end, just as I was nipping it up it went soft on me . Thinking the worst I started to remove the banjo bolt it suddenly came away where the bolt is cross drilled for the oil flow. I Shudder to think what the damage would have been had it failed on the road. The engine has new con-rod and bearings, new mains and barrel and piston. On a lighter note it will be running tomorrow.
