[Sweeper]

Hi all
My new crusader has a problem,it ran ok but after a points and condenser change she now not starting and has a very weak spark and the ammeter is a bit intermittent any ideas ??

insulation washers in right place, no chance of shorting etc

I think they are one at the bottom of each post and the plug that fits over the forward post ( or have I got it wrong) oops

Check as neddy says if still the same change capacitor/condenser back it may just be a duff one you fitted also clean points sometimes I notice new ones are coated in wax or something.

Yes replaced the new ones fitted for the old ones but still the same.

Sweeper , when you switch on give it a little kickover to make sure your ignition switch has not suddenly become a bit twitchy and make sure the needle on the ampmetre moves so eliminating any dodgey contact. I had same problem so gave key a little movement and we were back in business but it is so easy to get the wiring wrong here so get the book out.
