Hope I'm not being a bit thick here but is there a knack to getting the spark plug cap off on the EFI? I decided I would change the plug to an NGK Iridium but I can't find a way to get the plug cap off. There is no room between the cap and the barrel to get my fingers in and get a good grip and the right angled end of the cap where the HT lead enters it is pointing towards the centre of the engine (presumably to help stop water getting down the lead) and I can't get a grip on that either. After much swearing and two skinned knuckle I have admitted defeat. Any advice would as always be much appreciated.

Should just pull off Mick, true some can be a bit tight..

Try to obtain as much slack as possible on the HT lead and turn the cap side to side, just to prove movement...

Wrap some strong cord or rubber strip around the cap shank and the two free ends around your hand..

Tighten up and steady pull,.. You may have to remove the alloy fitting from the end of the new plug as the HT cap fits onto the screw thread....

Do not try to alter the plug gap on an iridium plug... fit as it comes out of the box.. cheers gwilly.

I don't know if this will help you but on my B5, I simply used a screwdriver to remove the cap.
There is a small notch on the cap that allows you to push upward by pressing on the edge of the cylinder.
Then you use the appropriate tool provided with the bike to unscrew the plug.

Thanks both, it's easy when you know how. Why don't they put this sort of info in the handbook? It would make life so much easier for the uninformed... Thanks again.
